Using feedback to improve our services

Learn how the feedback people share with our services leads to real, practical improvements in our services and helps us better support our communities.

Each year, Stride asks people who use our services to share their experiences through a survey called Your Experience of Service. This survey gives people a chance to tell us what is working and where we can do better. We carefully review this feedback and use it to guide real improvements across our services.

After each survey, each of our 80+ services chooses at least one improvement area to focus on over the following year. These focus areas are based directly on what people tell us matters most to them.

The 2024 survey showed that most people had a great experience with Stride, with 81% rating their experience as Excellent or Very Good. Even so, we carefully reviewed all feedback and identify areas for continuous improvement.

36 improvement areas were identified across over 80 services, with 33 initiatives successfully implemented by the end of 2025. This shows how your feedback leads to meaningful change across Stride.

Key focus area for improvement from 2024 included:

  • Staff communication
  • Social support
  • Physical health
  • Consumer involvement
  • Care planning
  • Feedback
  • Information
  • Improving service delivery
