Our impact

Helping people have a better day, today and tomorrow.

Our impact

Now more than ever, Australia needs evidence-based services that support early intervention and provide high-quality mental health care across the care continuum.

Here’s how we’re working through this

Stride is responding to the ever-changing mental health landscape by delivering a range of diverse mental health and wellbeing services across the country. Explore our annual reports to learn more about our work and impact.

  • As Australia’s largest provider of ‘integrated service centres’, Stride offers tailored and integrated mental health support to children, adults, families and carers by way of integrated hubs which work with other community organisations to ensure care responding to the holistic needs of each person.
  • Our Adult integrated services supported 8,497 people last year and the Stride-led headspace centres/satellites supported 10,921 young people with 128,258 occasions of service.
  • We also provide NDIS support coordination to over 1,438 participants and therapeutic supports to over 150 participants.
  • We support over 193 people through our SIL residential services, across 94 properties. SIL services support recovery and help people stay active in their communities, avoiding homelessness and hospital admission.
  • While we provide extensive psychosocial supports in all the above service types, we also deliver specialised funded psychosocial support programs providing strengths-based and recovery-oriented services to people in a range of communities.
  • We are partnering within community to create change, including working with people with lived and living experience and other national and local organisations.

Evidence and evaluation

Our services are grounded in evidence and designed for real-world outcomes. We work alongside health providers, researchers and lived experience voices to ensure our programs remain responsive, effective and accountable.

In 2018, we partnered with a Queensland health service to provide early intervention support, helping people with emerging mental health challenges access help before reaching crisis point.

A year later, we collaborated with local services in Brisbane to create a Safe Space for people experiencing suicidal distress, offering an alternative to emergency departments and empowering people to find their next steps in a calm, supportive environment.

These partnerships, and many more like them, reflect our belief that the best outcomes come from listening, learning and evolving. We’re committed to continuously reviewing and improving what we do, so that every person we support experiences real, lasting impact.
