We offer people and families a variety of suicide prevention and recovery supports and programs in the community.
Stride offers a range of supports to people who are in emotional distress and at risk of suicide. We also seek to support the recovery of people and their families and carers after a suicide attempt.
Stride Space Spaces and Safe Havens are welcoming, quiet and comfortable places in the community for individuals experiencing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts or tough times to access support. You will be welcomed by peer workers who have navigated their own crises and are able to listen and provide support that meets your needs.
The Way Back – Penrith service offers practical, non-clinical support to individuals following hospitalisation after a suicide attempt. Our team of peer support coordinators are equipped with personal experiences that enable them to connect people to local support networks, clinical and community-based services.
Universal Aftercare provides free non-clinical psychosocial support to people following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis. We aim to assist you in your recovery, guide you to ongoing support, and enhance your overall wellbeing.
Our centres and hubs provide a safe and welcoming place for people experiencing mental health concerns and personal distress. They are free, no appointment is needed, and many offer extended opening hours on weekdays and weekends.
