Stride offers comprehensive mental health support to people of all ages. This support is available free of charge via a variety of centres and hubs in local communities.
If you have a mental health concern or if you are living with a mental health issue, there is a variety of support available to you at our community based mental health centres. Stride works with our partners to provide Medicare Mental Health Centres, headspace centres and Stride hubs. These are welcoming spaces in the community where people can access support for themselves or someone they care for.
Stride Hubs offer short- to medium-term mental health support for severe and complex mental health challenges, both in the hub and through outreach in the community. Stride has a hub in the south of Brisbane in the suburb of Springwood. Stride Hubs take a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing including offering support for the physical and social needs of every person that Stride supports.
Stride Safe Spaces and Safe Havens are welcoming, quiet and comfortable places in the community. Safe Spaces/Havens provide the space for people experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings or emotional distress to access support when they need it, in a calm and caring environment.
They are a collaborative and innovative concept that works for the local community they are situated in. The spaces and support available have been designed in partnership with people who have been through tough times themselves and understand what does and doesn’t work.
Stride has been operating headspace centres since 2012. Every year we support more than 7,500 young individuals with their mental health and wellbeing. We now operate centres and satellites in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
