The National Student Wellbeing Program is a Commonwealth-funded initiative aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of students and the broader school community. This is achieved through the provision of pastoral care and wellbeing support services via a School Chaplain or Student Wellbeing Officer.
Stride is proud to be a pre-qualified provider under this scheme, offering Wellbeing Officers to eligible schools in the Sydney and Illawarra regions. Keep reading to find out more.
Stride takes a personalised approach to supporting school wellbeing. We collaborate closely with schools to develop tailored plans for their Wellbeing Officers, considering the unique environment and wellbeing needs of each school. It’s through our deep understanding of specific environments and wellbeing priorities for each school, that we can effectively optimise the role of the Wellbeing Officer.
Typically, Stride Wellbeing Officers are based in schools 1-2 days per week, fostering strong partnerships with existing Welfare and Learning support teams to enhance and complement the school’s existing wellbeing initiatives. The collaborative model ensures a comprehensive and holistic approach to student wellbeing.
