Service overview

The Eastern Suburbs group enables those with mental health disorders and high levels of psychiatric disability to maximise their participation in the community and sustain successful independent living. We assist them to improve their quality of life and most importantly their recovery from mental illness by accompanying them on outings to community locations of even just the beach.

About

Eastern Suburbs Stride (ESS) is a psychosocial groups program and has a rich history spanning over 25 years. It’s run by dedicated long-time Stride employees including Patricia, our second longest-serving employee.

The ESS team assist our group participants to improve their quality of life and most importantly their recovery from mental illness via outings to community locations like the beach, park and Ten Pin bowling.

How to access support

Send our ESS team and email and one of our support workers will be in touch to find out about your interests and needs. There are variety of groups running on a weekly basis and these will be discussed with you. We’ll speak with you about a range of social, leisure and therapeutic programs that may suit your needs.
