About

Devonport Medicare Mental Health is here to make it easier to get mental health support when you need it. Whether you’re going through a tough time, feeling overwhelmed, or need someone to talk to, our team is here to help, no referral needed. We offer free, in-person support for people of all ages, including counselling, peer support, and help connecting with other services.

We work alongside you to find the right support in a way that fits your life. It’s okay if you’re not sure what you need; we’ll figure it out together.

Our Devonport team is made up of caring and experienced mental health professionals who are here to support you, no matter what you’re facing. From clinicians and counsellors to peer workers and support staff, each team member brings a different skill set, but we all share the same goal: to help you feel safe, heard, and supported.

You’ll meet real people who take the time to listen and understand. We’re here to work alongside you, at your pace, and help you find the right path forward. Watch the video to get a feel for who we are and how we can help.

How to access support

Simply walk in or call for support. No appointment or referral is needed.

What to expect

When you come to the Devonport Medicare Mental Health Centre, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and friendly space. There’s no pressure, we’ll take things at your pace.

You’ll have a relaxed chat with one of our team members to get to know you and understand what’s been going on. From there, we’ll work with you to find the kind of support that feels right, whether that’s counselling, peer support, or something else. Everything you share is confidential, and you are welcome to bring a friend, family member, or support person if that makes you feel more comfortable.
