Stride operates a Safe Haven in Wollongong on behalf of NSW Health. We also operate a Safe Haven in Belconnen in the ACT.

The Way Back – Penrith offers invaluable non-clinical psychosocial assistance to individuals following hospitalisation post a suicide attempt. Our dedicated team at The Way Back comprises local peer support coordinators equipped with personal experiences, empowering them to serve as crucial connectors between you and vital support networks, as well as various clinical and community-based services. The Way Back – Penrith is a free service operated through referral from Nepean Hospital for those needing ongoing support in the Penrith LGA.
Stride’s Mental Health Community Support (MHCS) programs deliver community based services for people aged 18+ that are experiencing mental health concerns. Our aim is to keep people out of hospital and improve their overall wellbeing. We do this through personalised one-on-one support, self-help services and group supports.
At Stride Kids North Brisbane, we provide specialist mental health support to children aged 0-11 with mild to moderate needs to set them up for whatever life brings.
The National Student Wellbeing Program is a Commonwealth-funded initiative aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of students and the broader school community. This is achieved through the provision of pastoral care and wellbeing support services via a School Chaplain or Student Wellbeing Officer.

Primary Health Networks (PHNs) play a pivotal role in Australia’s health system, particularly in mental health service delivery. With thirty-one PHNs operating nationally, they are tasked with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services, especially for those at risk of poor health outcomes. PHNs are instrumental in implementing the National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement, which aims to reduce fragmentation and improve access to community-based services.
